Sifu Randy OngSifu Randy Ong has been instructing Kajukenbo with Sigung Michael Whittle at Chandler Gilbert Community College for the past eight years. He is an avid practitioner of Kajukenbo and believes in teaching through positive reinforcement, thereby building self-esteem and confidence in his students.

Sifu Ong is a native of Arizona, born May 6, 1959 in Phoenix. He was introduced to the martial arts at the age of 16 and has devoted the last several years to the art of Kajukenbo. He began studying Kajukenbo at the Kajukenbo Self Defense Institute of Gilbert, Arizona, opened by Sigung Whittle in 1993. Sifu Ong was awarded his first degree black belt on May 3, 1997; he was the first black belt promoted by Sigung Whittle in Arizona. He was awarded his second degree black belt and Instructors certificate on June 6, 1999, and his third degree black belt on August 26, 2000. On April 20, 2002, Sifu Ong was awarded his fourth degree black belt by Sigung Whittle at the Kajukenbo reorganizational meeting establishing the AKA.

In addition to Kajukenbo, Sifu Ong is a member of the Lim Kenpo Arizona Breaking Demo Team and has studied the following:

  • Hap Ki Do, Kenpo Karate, Hawaiian Kenpo
  • Sil Lum Pai Hung Gar Gung Fu and Hawaiian Lua
  • Weapons training in Arnis and Staff
  • The art of Brick Breaking and Ice Breaking
