The law of economy
or parsimony (Occam's Razor) applied to science states that:
What can
be done with fewer [assumptions] is done in vain with more.
I am
currently striving to make things simpler for myself by trying to
understand the Earth's 'dynamic' system. All along my Bachelor's and
Master's, I have realized how difficult it is to reverse-model the
implications of Earth processes, simply because these have been based
on loads of assumptions.
I am primarily interested in understanding the processes
responsible for the evolution and stabilization of the Earth's crust.
