| GORDON JESSE has a varied background
in the Performing Arts. Having worked in the field for more than 25 years, he has been a
professional musician and designed and/or directed over fifty theatre or dance
productions.While completing his M.A. in theatre at Arizona State University, he
designed for several Valley community threatre groups and taught in the theatre
department at Scottsdale Community College. He was also resident designer for a
season with Scottsdale Threatre for Children.

| After completion of that busy year and his
M.A., he worked in the production/design department at the Juilliard School in New York
City. Changing out of "life in the fast lane," in 1975 he took a teaching position at
California State University, Chico, in Northern California. After returning to the Valley,
he joined the faculty at Phoenix College in 1983.

| Moving to Chandler-Gilbert Community
College in 1986, he started the Performing Arts program. He is co-director of the San
Tan Arts Festival for which he was awarded the "Innovator of
the Year" award in 1990. Gordon has served on numerous campus committees, including
president of the Faculty Association. He plays keyboard for the ABC Band, a
four-piece jazz/rock/fusion band. His favorite credits are having appeared onstage with
Desert Dance Theater, Aurora Mime Company, and especially nationally-recognized
modern dancer, Tandy Beal.
