COURSE DESCRIPTION
District Curriculum
Oracle: Data Modeling and Relational Database Design
Top-down, systematic approach to developing a relational database and
defining requirements as entities, attributes, and relationships.
Developing an entity-relationship (ER) diagram that accurately reflects the business.
Mapping the ER diagram to an initial database design.
Prerequisites: CIS105 or permission of instructor.
The course is offered in a hybrid format where traditional class time will be replaced
with online activities or other technology enabled assignments to be completed outside of the classroom.

COURSE WORK
|
| Weekly course work includes reading, class lecture review, and activities and projects.
|
| Tests include quizzes and a final exam.
|
| Projects/Activities involve the hands-on application of the course material
to solve problems and will involve work outside of scheduled class time.
